AirlineCareer.com Helping Jobless Flight Attendants Find New Employment

HARVARD, MA (October 25, 2001) - AirlineCareer.com, an innovative online resource for aspiring flight attendants, has shifted its focus since September 11, 2001 to helping out-of- work flight attendants find jobs.

AirlineCareer.com has seen explosive growth during its first year and caters to the needs of over 12,000 aspiring flight attendants with its web site and bi-weekly employment newsletter. Recently, it was recognized as one of the top aviation web sites by John A. Merry, author of 'The Aviation Internet Directory: A Guide to the 500 Best Web Sites,' published in August 2001 by Aviation Week/McGraw Hill.

Joseph Belotti, an airline captain and founder of AirlineCareer.com says that people need this type of service now more than ever because of the hiring dynamics of the industry. "Although the airline industry has been deeply impacted by the events of September 11, a number of airlines are continuing to hire flight attendants and other airline workers. We see this primarily among charter operators and fractional ownership companies. Our 'Who's Hiring' page currently lists fifteen airlines that are actively hiring," says Belotti.

AirlineCareer.com offers both free and fee-based services. For those that are serious about finding an airline job, a Silver membership allows one-year access to most features of the site, the bi-weekly e-mailed newsletter and e-mail hiring alerts. A Gold membership offers two years of access plus the Testing Center, an interactive new-hire preparation section.

Belotti has an ambitious growth plan in place during the coming months for AirlineCareer.com. "We'll be expanding our research department, offering a wealth of database-driven content including up-to-the-minute hiring information on the Members' Home Page, interview profiles for most major, national, and regional airlines, as well as application procedures, resume preparation, and one-on-one interview coaching."
